< Herbst PAR Standard
Used to correct Class II malocclusion the the
tube and piston assembly have the patient in
centric edge to edge bite. Soldered to crowns
on the upper molars, and lower bicuspids, the
pivots alow for lateral motion and smooth bite
opening. Lower lingual arch and upper TPA
are included. A maxillary RPE for expansion
may be added.
Cantilever Herbst >
Allowing for a longer tube and piston assembly
the four first molars are crowned, and the cantilever
arm can be brought forward to the lower cuspids.
Rests are added to the lower bicuspids, with the
TPA on the upper. An RPE may be added on the
upper for needed expansion.
Rollo bands are an option on the fixed Herbst,
for crown strength, and band release.

Bonded Herbst >
With acrylic replacing crowns the Bonded Herbst
is an alternative to the crowned Herbst.
Add ball clasps for retention the appliance has
been used as a removable appliance.
